On Saturday 3rd September 2016 it felt like all of Coolboy, it's surrounding areas and half the country travelled to the Ashdown Park Hotel Gorey for Coolboy GAA's first ever Strictly Come Dancing event! Coolboy GAA cannot thank everybody enough for attending on the night and encouraging all the dancers who put in very special performances. All the hard work by the dancers paid off and we thank them very much for the huge effort put in. We would also like to thank all the volunteers on the night and everybody who gave their time and expertise (on the night and over the last 3 months) to help us out in every way possible including all the sponsors for their massive support and the Ashdown Park Hotel.

(Updated Monday 1st August 2016)

Coolboy GAA would like to thank everybody who bought and sold tickets for the Garden County Development Draw 2016. Garden County DrawThe support was very much appreciated as this draw has become an excellent fund raiser for Coolboy GAA Club and the greater the number of tickets sold by Coolboy GAA means a larger benefit for the Club. Wicklow County Board organise the Grand Development Draw, in conjunction with the clubs of the county, with €66,750 in prizes over 3 monthly draws. This draw is at no risk to the Clubs with prizes, tickets, publishing and advertising all done by the County Board.

The first draw was held on Friday 17th June and unfortunately no one was lucky this time around with a Coolboy ticket. Draw 1 Results are available on the Wicklow GAA Website. The second and third draws took place on Friday 1st July and Saturday 30th July respectively. Unfortunately we had no Coolboy Club ticket winners this year and the results of the last two draws can be viewed below -

Draws 2 and 3

Coolboy GAA Club would like to thank Garrett Gregan and Diarmuid Doran from GREDORWOOD for sponsoring our new jerseys. The jerseys were presented to the team at our Junior A match against Kilcoole in Arklow on Saturday 30th May 2015. Unfortunately Coolboy lost this game but the new jerseys with a modern design were well received by the players.

GREDORWOOD is a locally based business making bespoke fitted furniture and we wish it's founders and craftsmen, Garrett and Diarmuid all the best in the future. Click on the photo to visit the Gredorwood website!
